Mean Girls Day is sooooo fetch!!!
Mean Girls Day is “sooooo fetch,” as Gretchen Wieners
(played by Lacey Chabert) would say. And Gretchen would be right.
October 3, the official Mean Girls day, is “so fetch,” so cool. It’s a day in honor of the Mean Girls movie and all the mean girls that y’all know.
Y’all know, like mean girls at school, in the church, at work, or in your house. Mean girls who have nothing good to say but everything to say about everything.
They want to tell you what to wear, how to eat, how to sleep, and just how to be.
Mean girls do crazy shit like compliment you and then question your thanking them for complimenting you.
Remember this exchange between Regina (played by Rachel McAdams), the Queen B who walks around with her initial R attached to her necklace, and Cady (played by Lindsay Lohan):
Regina-But you’re like really pretty.
Cady-Thank you.
Regina-So you agree?
Cady-What?
Regina-You think you really pretty?
Cady-Oh, I don’t know.
Yep, shit like that. They have you questioning their compliments of you. They also do things like tell everybody when you have to go number 2, like Karen did to Gretchen.
Remember after "The Plastics’" Burn Book came out and they were all in the school gym confessing their wrong and Karen apologized to Gretchen for telling everybody at the Barnes and Nobles that Gretchen had “diarrhea.”
Then there’s the mean girl working at the upscale department store who told Regina and her two member crew that “we only carry sizes 1, 3, and 5. You could try Sears.”
Now, that woman knows that Sears is known for its lawn mowers, tools, and other home supplies and not its clothing line.
Yet, she told Regina and her two member crew to shop not at JC Penny, Dillard’s, or Bells, but at Sears. Mm-hmm, that’s how the mean girls do.
I understand that some of you may be wondering where this special species of human beings called "Mean Girls" origniate from.
Welp, the answer is simple. Mean Girls are a product of a bad home environment. Yeah, I said it. Mean Girls come about because their mamas and daddies don’t give them the proper act right in order for them to act right.
Take Regina for instance. Instead of telling Regina she’ll sleep in her bedroom and drive her daddy’s old Chevy like normal children do, Regina’s parents let her talk them into giving her their master bedroom as well as a Lexus convertible.
Keep in mind, Regina’s mama, played by Amy Poehler, is so messed up that she walks around with a Chihuahua who was nibbling on one of her titties.
The daddy is nowhere to be found. He most likely has a second family that helps him to forget about his first family.
So living in a home environment like that, you can’t help but be a mean girl. Regina, of course, doesn’t mind the fact she’s in a broken home and has no discipline.
And yes folks, if your daddy is never home and your mama is walking around with a Chihuahua nibbling on one of her titties, you’re in a broken home.
But, Regina and her folks don’t pay any of this any never mind. Regina has all a mean girl could want, a master bedroom, Lexus convertible, and her own crew to run.
It’s the good life that is until she gets hit by that bus and that Burn Book comes out.
Being a mean girl is so fun when you’re young! Ha!
